How Cerificado Digital is registered in Spain step by step

Certificado Digital is a technically and legally complex procedure. An error at any stage leads to rejection, blocking of the certificate or the need to start all over again. We take full control of the process: from the first application to the successful use of the signature on all government portals.

1. Registering a request for Certificado Digital and verifying the correctness of the data

We start with the correct application form on the FNMT website. We check:

  • NIE/NIF correctness;

  • matching of data from the passport and the FNMT system;

  • the status of your document with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the IRS;

  • name format and alphabetic characters;

  • technical parameters of the device from which the request is made.

Incorrect data will automatically block the application. We exclude this at the start.

2. Choosing the right type of certificate and preparing to obtain it

  • Para Personas Físicas – for individuals;
